Environmental Literacy Class

We are offering environmental literacy courses using a curriculum called Roots of Success.

Roots of Success is an environmental literacy curriculum created by Dr. Raquel Pinderhughes of San Francisco State University and specifically designed to help disenfranchised communities engage in the green economy, with a focus on preparation for green jobs. It was piloted with the Chicago Green Corps and Richmond Solar training programs.

The curriculum consists of an introductory module and modules for the following topics:

Water
Waste
Transportation
Energy
Building
Food and Agriculture
Community Organizing for Equitable Green Development and Green Jobs

Each module is 4 hours long.
