Graphic Design Intern

DWEJ is looking for an intern with a specialization in graphic design. This individual will be involved in the design support of printed materials including branding stationary and collateral, flyers and mailing materials. We are interested in an individual who has a desire to build their portfolio and wants to learn how to lead the graphic direction of a communications department.  The amount of hours per week is negotiable and can include credit toward schoolwork.

We will provide you with a great opportunity to grow your skills and talents, the option to work remotely when appropriate, a chance to expand your network, work in Midtown Detroit and most of all, the opportunity to work with a great team in Detroit’s environmental justice efforts!

Copywriting Intern

DWEJ is looking for a journalism intern with a background in environmental work to assist with copywriting. This individual must be a strong writer and have a working knowledge of environmental issues. The position includes the writing and development of the DWEJ newsletter, the research and development of relevant environmental stories and interviewing DWEJ alumni for public relations purposes. The amount of hours per week is negotiable and can include credit toward schoolwork.

Photographer Intern/Volunteer

DWEJ is looking for a photographer to assist in shooting events and grow our stock photography of environmental settings throughout Detroit .This individual should be well-versed, or have a desire to grow in both photojournalistic styles as well as nature photography. The amount of hours per week is negotiable and can include credit toward schoolwork.

We will provide you with a great opportunity to grow your skills and talents, the option to work remotely when appropriate, a chance to expand your network, work in Midtown Detroit and most of all, the opportunity to work with a great team in Detroit’s environmental justice efforts!

Web and Social Media Intern                                

DWEJ is looking for an intern to assist with web and social media efforts. This individual must have a basic understanding of WordPress, knowledge of web and social media analytics and have strong writing skills to complete blog and online posts. The amount of hours per week is negotiable and can include credit toward schoolwork.

Videographer and Editing Intern

DWEJ is looking for a videographer and editing intern to assist with the shooting and editing of events and informational videos. This individual must have knowledge of editing software (Adobe Final Cut Pro, etc) and the ability to guide the direction of a project to result in an informative and well-produced video. The amount of hours per week is negotiable and can include credit toward schoolwork.
